Hello, Jalapeno Lover! We're so happy it's June! Life is good, the weather is warm, the sun is out, and we're eating peppers! Our jalapeno plants and other pepper plants are planted out in the garden and are well on their way to producing some lovely, delicious peppers. We simply cannot wait for more fresh garden peppers!

Gardening Tips - Get Those Jalapenos Planted! If you haven't yet planted your jalapeno pepper plants, it's getting close to time, depending on your zone, of course. We're here in the Midwestern United States and don't expect any frost anytime soon. It's pretty safe anywhere in the U.S. to plant your seedlings that you started indoors. If you haven't started your own from seed, pick some up from the local nursery. As you can see, ours have started out quite strong! We planted our peppers in strong compost and soil, and be sure to stake them when they get tall.

Also, someone purchased a gift for us - it's an Upside-Down Patio Garden! We've never used one of these before, but this year we've planted Poblano and Pimento peppers. It's a bit windy today so the plants are blowing around a bit, but we'll let you know how they turn out. Anyone have any experience with these? We'd love to hear your feedback. |
