Spicy Roasted Jalapeno Soup with Roasted Garlic
I chanced upon a soup recipe by Jamie Oliver, the well know TV chef/personality, and was intrigued. How could this much roasted garlic go into a soup? Wow! Turns out it is quite good, especially when you tweak the recipe with plenty of roasted jalapeno peppers and my preferred spices. I’m all about garlic, but the soup greatly benefits from the addition of the jalapeno peppers.

What can you do with all that leftover holiday turkey? Lots! The great thing about leftover turkey is that is already cooked and nicely seasoned. You don’t have to do much to turn a typical meal into something spectacular. Don’t forget the habanero peppers! This one likes to be spicy.

Linguine with the Malawi Piquante Chili Pepper
I still had a number of Malawi Piquante chili peppers left over from my friend and amazing chile supplier, Jim Duffy, and didn’t want them to go to waste. They paired so nicely with apple for the Green Apple-Pepper Slaw recipe that I had to bring apple in again. Apple brings not only a nice level of sweetness to accompany the sweetness of the Malawi Piquante, but also a complementary crunch factor. I hope you enjoy.

While attending a recent beer tasting event in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, over the weekend, I happily ran into a vendor booth selling spicy food products. I spoke with the owner, Laszlo Marton, of Galena Garlic Company and he sent me home with some of his products. Great stuff!
