Saturday Night Ravioli with Volcanic Peppers
Patty and I decided on a relaxing night in last Saturday. No real plans for the weekend, just hanging out with a glass of wine and plenty of time to play in the kitchen. I had just received a package from Volcanic Peppers. Three different seasonings – Volcano Dust 3, Spicy Chili Powder, and a Hot Italian Blend. Talk about perfect timing.

Superhot Chili Pepper Recipe – Pesto with 7 Pot Douglahs
We have a new video recipe posted over at the main Chili Pepper Madness web site. This dish incorporates one of our favorite chili peppers – the 7 Pot Douglah. This pepper is nice and sweet, and amazingly hot at over 1 Million Scovilles. The heat of the 7-Pot pepper is similar to the Bhut Jolokia but with a more fruity and nutty flavor, like other Caribbean peppers.
Fajita Extravaganza
Chicken Fajitas are an excellent choice for dinner parties. You can prepare most of the components ahead of time and then cook up the chicken when ready for dinner. We had friends over for Cinco de Mayo and put this meal together, which was a hit, but since it was so easy to prepare, we’re adding this to our list of potential party meals.

Carbonara with Roasted Jalapenos and Avocado
When we were in Italy last year, we ordered carbonara as often as we could. The perfect combination of pasta, eggs, Parmesan cheese, pancetta and pepper, it always satisfies, especially with a dash of fresh Italian olive oil.
