Our Jalapeno BBQ Burger Recipe is a Winner
We are extremely happy to announce that our Jalapeno BBQ Burgers recipe has been selected as a Runner-Up by the editors in the KC Masterpiece Tailgating Recipe Touchdown Challenge. Thank you very much, KC Masterpiece and Chow.com, for choosing our recipe. Here is what the contest judges has to say about our recipe:
“These burgers were so huge and full of flavor from barbecue sauce, cumin, and chili powder that no condiments were necessary. The jalapeños gave a nice texture to the patty, which overall reminded us of a slice of good meatloaf. The burgers were also very simple to prepare, making them an excellent tailgating choice.”
The recipe is part of our Jalapeno Madness: Jalapeno Recipes Galore! collection. See below.

Stuffed Cherry Peppers – A Recipe
We've been continuing to work on our stuffed chili peppers cookbook and felt this one was too good to wait for, so we had to share it. Of course they're ALL good, but this one had that little extra something special. The stuffing is delicious and creamy, and the cherry peppers nice and crunchy for a texture contrast. Top them with the stems for added appearance. They're just so fun!
Spicy Stuffed Strawberries
We're working on our new cookbook that focuses on jalapeno poppers and other stuffed chili peppers, and we came up with a brand new favorite! These strawberries stuffed with spicy cream cheese and banana pepper slices are nice and sweet, and would make an outstanding appetizer for parties and other gatherings.

We recently spoke to one of them – Scott Roberts, a hot sauce and spicy food blogger who has been blogging about chili peppers and spicy food for a decade.

Spice Up Your Frozen Vegetables
Depending on the time of year, it isn't always possible to grab fresh produce from your garden, or it just isn't convenient to rush out to the market. In those times, we turn to frozen vegetables. We enjoy freezing our chili peppers, which work great for preserving them through the winter, but freezing is great for a large variety of vegetables. Freezing helps to preserve the nutrients of the vegetables without affecting flavor like other preserving methods might do.
