Barbecue Peach Jalapeno Cornbread

This jalapeno cornbread recipe features a delicious barbecue peach sauce. What a fun combination!

Barbecue Peach Jalapeno Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup corn meal
  • 1 cup cream-styled corn
  • ¼ cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 jalapenos, diced
  • 2 tablespoons peach barbecue sauce

Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x9 baking pan or muffin tin (12).
  2. In a large bowl, stir together flour cornmeal, baking powder, salt and sugar.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
  4. Pour batter into pan.
  5. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick interted comes out clean.

NOTE: For added flavor serve with extra sauce.
