Jalapeno Poppers Topped Seared Filet

We wanted something interesting to top our filet mignon with. When you go to restaurants you'll see bleu cheese or feta cheese topping your steaks, but we figure what's better than cheese topped filets? How about filet mignon topped with feta cheese stuffed jalapeno poppers? Yeah Baby!


  • 2 large jalapeño peppers
  • 2 oz. feta cheese
  • 1 8 oz. filet mignon (1 inch thickness)
  • 2 tablespoons bread crumbs
  • Habanero pepper flakes to taste

Jalapeno Popper Directions

  1. Cut off tops.
  2. Core the centers out.
  3. Stuff each with 1 oz. feta.
  4. Lightly spray with oil.
  5. Dust with bread crumbs.
  6. Bake 20-30 minutes at 375 degrees.

Filet Directions

  1. Cut filet lengthwize to 1/2 inch thickness.
  2. Rub halved filets with habanero flakes or other desired seasonings.
  3. Get a frying pan very hot.
  4. Spray oil lightly.
  5. Sear filets on high heat 2-4 minutes or until desired doneness.
  6. Top filets with poppers and serve with your desired side dish.
