Spicy Beef Sandwiches with Jalapenos
We just threw a party and had way too much leftover roast beef, so we decided to make a nice and spicy recipe to satisfy our heat cravings. This one turned out great. It’s an excellent use of party leftovers. It’s also a great use of your preserved pickled jalapeno peppers.

Spicy Beef Sandwiches with Jalapenos
Ingredients
- ½ pound sliced deli roast beef
- 3 tablespoons pickled jalapeno peppers, including pickling juices
- 1 bottle of dark porter beer
- 1 tablespoon beef stock mix (or one beef bouillon cube)
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons green onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 large French rolls, toasted if preferred
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
Cooking Directions
- Shred the roast beef so it is nice and thin.
- Heat a large pot to medium heat and add the beef.
- Add remaining ingredients except the buns. Mix well.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer about 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir.
- Serve on the buns topped with cheddar cheese!
NOTE: This would probably go great with mozzarella cheese, but we had a bunch of leftover cheddar. It was still great.
