Dude! This is one of our new favorite recipes! I've honestly never wanted to try shrimp tacos because they just didn't seem to go together, but after giving this recipe a try, we were floored over here at Jalapeno Madness and Chili Pepper Madness. We got some new chili powders and decided to experiment. You'll really want to try this one.

Spicy Shrimp Tacos
Ingredients
- 1 large jalapeño pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (we used ground piquin for this recipe)
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, shells removed and deveined
- 2 limes, sliced
- 3 teaspoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons mayo
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 6 corn tortillas
- 1 tablespoon butter
- garlic to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
Cooking Directions
- For the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix chili powder, mayo, and sour cream. Set aside.
- For the tacos: Brush shrimp with butter and garlic. Grill or pan fry over medium heat until shrimp is tender and pink throughout.
- Warm tortillas in a microwave or over the stove 2-3 minutes.
- Serve shrimp over tortillas with a teaspoon of sauce.
- Garnish with jalapeno pepeprs, cabbage, cheese and fresh lime juice.
